today's painting:
i painted this kitty 2x....don't ask me why. sometimes i do that. i actually preferred this one at first. i worked on the other a bit more and i like it now - i'll post it when i get a new photo of it.

today's painting:
well we still don't have electricity and what we've heard is it could be the new year before we do. bummer. but i'm hoping that they get it fixed before. there are so many lines down in my neighborhood, i'm not so sure.....
it was 46 degrees in the house when i woke up, but we have lots of down duvets so we were toasty while sleeping, and having 2 kitties on top helps! we also have friends with power and were house hopping the last few days. i'm writing this from my neighborhood starbucks and it is raining outside which seems a little bleak. i hope it doesn't start to freeze again.
i havent been too inspired to paint the last days as it is so cold in my studio and with no light, i've just had to roll with it. sigh.
today's painting is one of the commissions i was working on for a client for christmas. i'll continue to post the others the next few days just to keep the project going till the end of the year.

in case you were wondering....
today's painting:
yes, i am still doing a painting a day!
i have been painting away but can't share them as they are christmas commissions and need to be a surprise for their recipients. so i will post them starting the 26th, also known as boxing day, but i don't know why.
when all the commissions are finished, it'll be business as usual through the 31st.
stay tuned for what i'll be doing for 2013! it's gonna be good!!

today's painting:
i'm back!
it was a crazy busy week and the studio show with jeri warlick was huge fun! so many friends and some new folks, too. we had the lovely rena wren play some superb live music (which was a first for us and was awesome!) AND a dear friend from dallas drove up and i had not seen her in almost 13 years!!! a magical evening:)
i want to post pics but i seriously always forget to even take any-which is odd. but i can still get some of the set up as it is:)
it was an intense amount of work though, moving out furniture and rearranging my little house to make space for art and people. thanks so much to everyone who came out to support our work! my portion of the pop up is still set up and will be for a little while for some last minute shoppers who want to msg me and come by.
i am back to my daily paintings, too, and will finish out the year! i can't believe it's almost been a YEAR!!!!!

a little time out
just a little note to let you know i am taking a short break from my daily paintings as i get ready for my annual studio sale on saturday. if i can squeeze one in now through saturday i will, though. i'll have to take each day as it comes. till then, i may post some of my pottery i'll have at the show.
