Greetings!

Hi, i'm Julie and I'm a visual artist. I work with a lot of different materials, including clay, paint, wood, and fabric. My studio is in Little Rock, Arkansas, and this blog is where I share studio goings on, new work, and occasional whatnot.

potted herbs

today's painting:

it's a miracle that my little herbs have survived this blistering summer we've had. the nice thing is they'll probably make it thru most of the fall now as it doesn't get too cold here till late november. time will tell.

lila

today's painting:

this is my friend margaret's dog, lila.

the purple in the ground was inspired by the dark violet irises blooming in my back garden. they have a strange and lovely scent.
