Greetings!

happy st. patrick's day!

how's the craic?

i love st. patrick's day and i love ireland. i lived there for almost two years back in 2000 and 2001. i lived in cork, which is a great city and full of the nicest people! i was lucky enough to get to work at the quay coop cafe on sullivan's quay and i loved it and everyone i worked with. the coop has a wonderful vegetarian cafe upstairs (where i was) and a little shop downstairs where they sell various natural foods and bulk items. it was such a relief to find a place like this while i traveling and i feel so lucky to have been given the chance to work there. started out washing dishes and working the counter but eventually got to make desserts. i really loved my co-workers and learning to make the most amazing food, both vegetarian and vegan. in fact there is a 2 nut chocolate torte that i still crave.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY everyone!!!!
